The Kaveri Trail Marathon, inaugurated in October 2007, started off as a ‘Training run’ for the upcoming Bangalore Ultra Marathon and all runners in the inaugural run were training for the Ultra.
More categories like the 10K and 5K were added as more runners wanted to experience the KTM route.
As the popularity of the race grew in just a few years, the trail could not support more runners and hence was split into a 2-day event over the weekend to support more runners.
Usually held in the month of November, when the weather is pleasant, the race route is quite scenic but daunting. The proximity to the river body, the lush green vegetation, the uneven trail path, and the sun bearing down, makes it a tough humid run that tests the runners to the hilt.
All races start and finish next to the Ranganathittu bird sanctuary and follow the canal of the river Kaveri close to Balmuri Falls.

- Only online registrations are allowed. No manual registrations.
- Refund policy
- Canceling for personal reasons – No Refund will be done. You can transfer registration to any other NEB events. INR 200/- will be charged for transfer of registration or credit note
- In case of refund is requested, the processing fees of INR 250/- will be charged on the total amount paid.
- Event Postponement – you can transfer your registration to your friend or family or to any other NEB event.

Please note the Change in the race category was accepted 20 days prior to the event date. And changes are not accepted after the registration is closed.
