Organized by NEB Sports, the Kolkata Full Marathon, is one of the biggest running events in Kolkata. Inaugurated in 2008, it is the only Marathon event in Kolkata. Earlier sponsored by Ageas Federal Life Insurance, it was known as the AFLI Kolkata Full Marathon
It is an AIMS-certified course and provides a platform for Indian competitors to qualify for international races and to promote athletics at grass – the root level. The event offers 4 categories of races – A Marathon (42.2km), a Half Marathon (21.1km), a 10K run, and a 5K run.
The course record is held by Satya Prakash (men) with the timing of 2:19:30 while Anjali Saraogi (women) has the fastest time at 3:16:56.

Important Points
- Event Cancellation – Full Refund will be done*. Cancellation for personal reasons – No Refund will be done. You can transfer registration to any other NEB events.
- Event Postponement – you can transfer your registration to your friend or family or to any other NEB event.
- Change in category/ transfer of registration/ cancellation requests accepted 20 days prior to the event date. INR 200/- will be charged for any transfer of registration and credit notes.
- COVID regulations: As of now, participants do not need to submit COVID Vaccine certificates OR negative RTPCR Report/COVID Vaccine certificates. This may change as per government regulations at at later date
- Registration: Participant should upload a valid and legible photo ID Card (Aadhar / Driving License / PAN / Voter ID Card / Passport) during registration.
- Aid stations: Water, energy drinks, and other refreshments would be available on the route/course. Water and refreshments available to all runners post-race finish.
- Medical aid/washroom: Medical and washroom facilities would also be available on the route/course as well at the start point/finish line of the race.
- Time limits: Time limits are applicable for all the races after which the course would be open for regular vehicular traffic.
- Marathon: 5 hr 30 min
- Half Marathon: 3 hr 15 min
