Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic is an annual race held on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. Established in 1979, the Crescent City Classic is New Orleans’ premier 10k road race and one of the U.S.A.’s oldest 10k races.

The Classic’s official charity program is the “Run For It” program with the goal of raising $1 million annually for local charities in the Greater New Orleans area. The race serves as a part of the Eastern Weekend Tradition in downtown New Orleans, attracting 20,000 people almost every year.

The USATF-sanctioned and certified course is considered one of the ‘most fun’ 6.2 miles races in the USA.

* Participants opting for charity will have to choose the charity of their choice during registration. Charity slots require a minimum of $200 to be raised for the charity of the participant’s choice

**Children 5 and under are free, however, they will not receive a bib, t-shirt, or medal.
^ Prices are time sensitive i.e. will increase closer to the race date. A $5 discount is offered to all Military members and first responders.

Prize Money

Information about the prizes/ awards for the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic 10K 2024 not available but below are details from the 2023 edition

  • Elite Athletes: The Crescent City Classic awards elite athletes over $30,000 in prize money. For the complete list of prize money broken down by division, please email our Elite Coordinator, Andrew.Lilly@ccc10k.com.
  • Local winners: Top local area female and male finishers from the Open, Master (40+), Grandmaster (50+), and Senior (60+) categories will be awarded: $300 cash, free entry to next year’s race, and a limited edition prize.
  • Age group awards: Limited edition prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+ yrs. 1st place winners will also get free entry to next year’s race.

Important Points for Prize Money:

  • Invited athletes and those who earn non-local cash prizes are not eligible for age group awards.

Important Points

  1. Bib Collection:
    • All participants must pick up their bibs at Expo unless they have opted for & paid for the mailing of racing bibs.
    • To pick up the bib number participants must bring their photo I.D. or registration confirmation email.
    • If someone else were to pick up the participant’s bib number they must bring a photocopy of their I.D. or registration confirmation email.
    • No bib collection on race day
  2. Racing shirts: Shirts are not mailed – they can be picked up at the expo OR on race day at the Michelob Ultra Race Fest.
  3. Corrals: Participants must input their estimated 10k finishing time during registration, in order to be placed in the correct Starting corral. For Seeded Starting Corrals, verification of a qualifying race time under 55:00 minutes will be required.
  4. Aid stations: Free drinks will be available throughout the course. Water stations and port-o-lets will be placed at mile markers 1-5, on both sides of the street.
  5. Michelob ultra race fest takes place in the city park. Offers music, food, and drinks along with an award ceremony, costume contest, and Family Fun Zone.  The fest is free for runners and children (5 years & younger) but Fest-only passes can be purchased during online registrations at $20 or can be purchased at $25 on race day
  6. Discounted Parking available
  7. Bus shuttles are available and are complimentary to all runners
  8. No Refunds Or Deferrals for any reason.
  9. Runners, joggers, and walkers are allowed.  Bikes, rollerblades, skates, or pets (other than service animals) are NOT allowed on the course.
