The Honolulu Marathon also known as the JAL Honolulu Marathon is an annual marathon held in Honolulu, Hawaii since 1973. Usually held on the second Sunday in December, it is one of the world’s largest marathons and is quite popular among runners in Japan (especially first-time marathoners) owing to its ‘No qualification’ criterion.

Since 2013, the Honolulu Marathon has had over 33000+ registrants every year (except in 2020 and 2021 when numbers dropped due to Covid 19).
