The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend is an annual race held in Orlando, Florida. The race, first held in February 2009, is usually conducted towards the end of February. The race is organized by runDisney – a division of Disney Sports Enterprises – and was mainly created to bring into focus women’s health and fitness and celebrate the joy of womanhood. It is an exciting race event filled with lots of runners in colorful tutus and tiaras with over 20,000 + runners participating in 2022!
While the event is primarily intended for women, it is not exclusive to women. While men are also allowed to run (and do run), the run is dominated by women. Men are also not eligible for any of the awards.
The main races include a 5k, a 10k, and a Half Marathon. Additionally, there is the Fairy Tale Challenge where the runners are required to complete both the 10k and the Half Marathon on consecutive days.
Not only do the runners get to interact with a lot of Disney Characters on the race course, there are also professional photographers positioned at multiple locations. Runners can also take their own pictures though selfie sticks are prohibited.

Important Points
- Entry fees for runDisney events are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Participants can connect to their online Disney account during registration.
- Multiple registrations can be done at the same time. Editing of information after registration to correct any mistakes is also allowed.
- Multiple payment options cannot be used together for payment.
- In case of race is sold out, runners can visit the charity or travel company options available to check if there are any bibs available.
- Water and other refreshments are available at aid stations throughout the course.
- Medical and washroom facilities would also be available on the route/course as well at the start point/finish line of a race.
- Time limits are applicable for all races. Runners/ walkers are expected to have a minimum pace of 16min/mile.
- Since Disney no longer allows others to pick up the race packets, all runners are required to attend the Expo with their valid ID and completed waiver form. They can pick their race bib, shirt, and gear bag and purchase any exclusive merchandise they want, at the expo
- Start group time placements are available for the Half Marathon race on submission of the earlier live events on a USATF-certified course.
- Half Marathon proof of time: Results accepted from a 10K, 10mile, Half Marathon, or Full Marathon.
