The Manipal Marathon is a racing event held annually in Manipal, which falls under the Udupi District in Karnataka. Organised by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) in partnership with the Udupi District Amateur Athletic Association, the Manipal Marathon has grown to become one of the largest student organized marathons in India.
With a turnout of approximately 20000 runners, the Manipal Marathon attracts runners from across the world and offers a rare experience for the participants. With a festival-type atmosphere and attractive prize money, it draws both elite athletes as well as enthusiastic runners. The marathon route takes the runners across a varied route which includes breathtaking landscapes of Manipal as well as the stunning Udupi coastline. The route itself is certified by the IAAF AIMS
In addition to the Marathon, the Manipal Marathon event also has a Half Marathon, 10K run, 5K run and a 3K run. It also offers a virtual version of the race.
