The TCS Amsterdam Marathon is an annual marathon held in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Inaugurated in 1975, it is organized every year in the month of October (with exception of 1978 and 2020). The event includes a Full marathon, half marathon, 8k race, Kids race, and Mini marathon. The course in Amsterdam is known for its flat, fast and historical character with the start and finish taking place in the historical Olympic Stadium.
The TCS Amsterdam Marathon is a Platinum Label race certified by World Athletics.

Prize Money
Information about the prizes/ awards for the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2023 (individuals) has not yet been declared by organizers. Information related to business team prizes is detailed below
Business teams: Prizes will be presented for the three fastest teams in the Business Run. The net times for the first five runners in each team will be used to determine the winners of the full marathon and for the half marathon and 8K the net times of the first five runners will be used.

Important Points
- Invitation to participate: To qualify for an invitation to the TCS Amsterdam Marathon, runners need to run a certain time within the last 1 year from the race date. This time is <2.30.00 for men and <2.50.00 for women. After email proof of time is received, the organizers will send a promotional code which you can use to register for free. Besides a free bib number, the organizers also offer a good starting position right behind the elite runners.
- Discounts are available for businesses that register multiple teams. The volume discount also applies when teams for different categories are combined.
- When purchasing 5 to 9 teams – 5% discount
- When purchasing 10 to 14 teams – 10% discount
- When purchasing 15 teams or more – 15% discount
- Transfer registration: If you cannot or don’t want to participate, you can transfer your registration to someone else using the “Supply and demand” page on the official race website. This page is usually available closer to the race date.
- Race category change: You can also downgrade your race category from Full Marathon to Half Marathon / Full Marathon to 8K/ Half Marathon to 8K. No refund of the difference is done.
- Bib pick up: At the expo, the participants need to present their confirmation email (with the stat number) along with a photo ID to receive their bib number. A representative can also pick up the bib on your behalf as long as they are carrying the e-mail (printed or digital) containing your start number.
- Slots availability: The following participation limits apply to the various events
- TCS Marathon: 18,000
- Mizuno Half Marathon: 20,000
- TCS 8K: 7,000
- Good Morning City Run: 1,000
- Kids Run: 1,000
- Mobile app: A free mobile app is available to aid both runners & spectators. The TCS Amsterdam Marathon app is usually available on the Apple store and Android Play store closer to the race date.
- Storage: Clothing storage is available in tents around the Olympic Stadium. The service is free but organizers do not hold responsibility for any stolen or missing items. Also, loose items of clothing are not allowed to be left inside the stadium and shall be removed after the race start. The clothing drop-off is open from 07.30 until 17.00 hours.
- Pacers are available who will pace groups of runners according to the following finish times:
- Full marathon – 3:00, 3:10, 3:20, 3:30, 3:40, 3:50, 4:00, 4:10, 4:20, 4:30, 4:40, 4:50 and 5:00
- Half marathon – 1:30, 1:35, 1:40, 1:45, 1:50, 1:55, 2:00, 2:05 and 2:10
- Aid stations would be available along the route with water, AA drink ISO lemon, and bananas. Sponges would also be available. All aid/ refreshment stations would also have toilets and first-aid facilities.
- A hydration vest is allowed.
- Time limit applicable on the course for after which the course is thrown open to normal traffic
