The Shamrock Marathon is held in the Kansas City, Missouri, United States. The event was first held in 1973 and had only 59 entrants. Now grown to 24000 participants with 5 race categories, it is recognized as one of the most family friendly races. The event includes a Marathon, Half Marathon, 8K, Final Mile and Kids Dash.
The Shamrock Marathon is a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon and is a USATF sanctioned event .

Prize Money
Information about the prizes/ awards for the Shamrock Marathon 2025 are detailed below.
- Overall Awards: Awards will be given to the top 3 overall men and women finishers in the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 8K. The Overall category will be scored using GUN time.
- Masters Awards: Awards will be given to the top 3 overall masters men and women finishers in the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 8K. The Masters category will also be scored using GUN time.
- Age group Awards: Awards will be given to the top 3 men and women finishers in each age group for the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 8K. The Age Group awards will be scored using CHIP time
- Whale/ Dolphin Awards: Awards will be given to the overall / top man and woman finishers as well as winner in each age group.

Important Points
1. Registration: No Refunds but Deferrals, Switching race distances and Bib Transfer is allowed if applied for in-time and after paying relevant fees
2. Referrals: Discounts are available for friend/ family referrals
3. Aid stations will be placed every 1.5 miles apart throughout the course. Each aid station will have water, Hydration and Port-a-potties. Gels will be available at limited aid stations. Organizers highly recommend to train with these brands if participants plan to use them on the course. You can purchase Nuun Hydration and GU Gels here
4. Pacers are available.
5. Bib Collection: Runners may authorize another person to pick up your packet/bib number by filling out the permission form and uploading it to their account. No race day bib collection allowed unless opted for “Will Call” during registration
6. Baby Joggers/Strollers: Baby joggers and strollers are allowed but you must be in corral 4 or higher and seed yourself at the back of your assigned corral. It is the participants responsibility to make sure the baby jogger/stroller does not impede other runners, and runner must take extra precaution to ensure their own safety, their child’s safety, and the safety of the runners around them. Organizers reserve the right to pull any participant from the race who is endangering other runners or themselves.
7. Pets: Pets are not permitted in any of the J&A Racing events.

10. Time limits: There are time limits applicable (see below). Additionally due to street closure restrictions and hard closures of military base access points, runners must reach certain checkpoints at pre-decided times to avoid being picked up & transported to finish line
